Cheesy Taco Pasta

1 Tablespoon Oil
400 gm Pasta shells or spirals
500 gm beef mince
1 packet taco seasoning or see note (homemade seasoning)
3/4 cup water
1 jar of salsa
1 can kidney beans
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Packet of Corn Chips to serve
Sour Cream


  1. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the packet and drain.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat oil on medium heat mince to the pan and brown well. Drain fat and add the taco seasoning, kidney beans and water, stir and simmer until water is absorbed.
  3. Add the pasta back into the pot and mix with the salsa and cheese.Stir to combine. Serve immediately.

Optional: Delicious served with Corn Chips, Avocado and Sour Cream.

Note: Homemade Taco Seasoning
1 tsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
