Community Resilience & Recovery

Providing pathways for inclusion, preparedness & sustainable growth

Community Plus+ is committed to building stronger communities.

We do this by responding to the current and ongoing impacts of climate change on the local communities we work in and across the Brisbane LGA, through development and delivery of recovery and resilience projects and programs. We advocate to all levels of government for change and support for vulnerable communities to prepare, strengthen and build resilience.

Our team works at the grassroots level to build resilience in their own household, neighbourhood and wider community. We work with residents, groups, local leaders, businesses and all levels of government to build greater resilience in people, buildings and environments.

Community Plus+ work with groups such as: Resilient Kurilpa; Yeronga District Residents Association, Rocklea Community, Brisbane Floodies United and other local organisations.

Our team is available to assist flooded community members to navigate and access information, supports and services they need to support their recovery. We provide case management support to approved recipients to enable them to project manage their repairs and connect to other services.
